riff of stocktaking reminds me of cygnus vismund cygnus
more driven by theatricality than emotion
vocal delivery reminds me of maynard james keenan
very dynamic, possibly the least repetitive post hardcore album i’ve heard so far - riffs still repetitive
vocals are the worst part of this - very much reminiscent of straight up hardcore while the instrumental is more mathy and progressive
female vocals are interesting and a valued edition
bass tone really great - almost sounds slappy
perfectly enjoyable, but there’s nothing about it keeping me here. i think my problem really lies in the vocals, they just make me a little annoyed. it’s catching up is stellar, but the rest of the album just… doesn’t really offer anything to me. i’d prefer to listen to other post-hardcore bands that are based more in emotion as opposed to theatrics. it’s a 7.8/10. i’m on a plane btw if it doesn’t show my scrobbles
FAV TRACK: it’s catching up
