Not as polished or monumental as But Here We Are, but it has its moments.
Caught in the Echo is right up there with their best stuff

Another surprise U2 EP? Edge lead vocals track? What a day to be a U2 fan. Easter Lily's sonic sound is the stereotypical, delay filled, atmospheric and uplifting U2 sound, which leaves a couple of the tracks forgettable, despite overall quality. Given how quickly it seems to have been put together, the band is showing encouraging signs for the upcoming EP. I prefer Days of Ash though, as Easter Lily lacks the punchiness of Days of Ash.

Sounds like a mix between HTDAAB and NLOTH. American obituary's lyrics get too far into the Refu-jesus American soul territory, and Yours Eternally sounds like an Ed Sheeran song not a U2 song, but The Tears of Things is exceptional, and Song of the Future would fit perfectly onto the back end of HTDAAB. If this is U2's new direction, then I'm looking forward to the album later this year.
