Easter Lily ... offers the visceral, emotional experience that U2 fans have been yearning for the longest time.

Uncut
The six tracks on “Easter Lily”, appearing at the other end of Lent on Good Friday, are appropriately more concerned with what redeems and revives us. It’s U2 reconnecting with first principles, all big choruses and defiant optimism, and is confidently glorious.

These are certainly boss songs – Easter Lily feels like the strongest collection of material U2 have mustered in at least 20 years, reuniting the band’s elemental melodic urges and the spiritual fire that somehow got lost amid the vanilla sonic landscapes of last decade’s Songs Of Innocence/Songs Of Experience albums.

Regardless of how it's consumed, Easter Lily is another good sign that U2 still have much to say and the music to back up the message.

Enjoyable, but I perfered the previous EP slightly. This one feels a little too sappy at times and while it's instrumentally beautiful, Bono's vocals aren't as sharp as they used to be. Still though, U2 is very overhated and I enjoyed this

I don't know if I'm crazy for saying this, but some of these tracks remind me a little bit of Radiohead, which ultimately is a very good thing.

Honestly - Part 31

U2 - Easter Lily (2026)

Well… I didn’t expect to be reviewing another U2 EP so soon. Compared to the previous one, this feels like a much more intimate collection of songs, but at the same time more experimental than Days of Ash. What’s interesting is that I’ll probably listen to this one less than the February release, yet in a way it feels more compact, more refined, and closer to the heart. I’m not sure what the next full U2 album will be ... read more

Another EP from this band that could have been a lot better than it ended up turning out. The songwriting and production here are improved on compared to the previous EP but what’s lacking is Bono’s vocals. I hate to say it, but I think he needs to retire cause he sounds like he’s just hanging on by a thread here

listening to this on my iphone as U2 intended... but longing for a stadium show tbh

Definitely a more consistent ep than their last, simply out of not having a god awful track like American Obituary. However, this ep is just kinda mid. The highs are just not that high and it all kinda drags. Still, I was a fan of In A Life and Resurrection Song.
