Possibly my personal favorite Weeknd record and definetly the most underrated. Abel finishes off the trilogy and The Weeknd persona with this grand finale of a album, it brings the development of Abel’s character full circle giving the persona its conclusion. this album feels like a revival of the classic 60s soul sound and i love it, it does not reinvent the wheel or do-anything to crazy even if it does become a bit generic because of it but i think thats okay as it has that comforting smooth buttery and relaxing sound and just feels so polished since it is obviously newer with better recording and production equipment allowing the soul sound to really flourish. overall really nice and enjoyable listen and feels like something you could replay all ... read more
unbelievably ok, if i had to describe this album thats all i could really say. Its just alright in my eyes, it doesn't stand out, doesn't do anything super new, and isn't really engaging and is pretty boring at that but its not bad or terrible either but it also isn't good its literally just ok.
the amount of potential BK presents with her stye is great and really shines on songs like uh huh tweaking together and c4 but its still just potential waiting to be unlocked because many songs on this are kind of unfulfilling but its a great start
anything that i say about this album has been said a million times before because its that excellent.
ive tried and tried to love this album because i really like earl i really do but i simply cant rate it as music. even if its super lyrical and the subjects go really deep (something i normally love) the songs are just borderline unlistenable in almost any context so yea this might be a great exploration of mental health but were still rating MUSIC not noise
this album will have you singing your voice out, the songs are extremely addicting and daniel caesars vocals deliver incredibly, the lyrics are relatable and he really embodies what it feels like to love on this record. i would give this a perfect score but there are 2 songs that just dont hit as well as the others but the ones that hit really do hit. great to sing to in shower
where ye feels like a more melancholic and mellow album kids see ghosts is the complete opposite, its a psychedelic upbeat and ecstatic album. i think this album really shines in the sense that both kanye and cudi really bring out the best of eachother and there styles blend so seamlessly. if you read my review on ye you know its one of my favorite kanye albums and this almost parallels it. do it think its better? no i don't but its also very different sonically. great album in terms of ... read more
Major mistake with most artists nowadays, he dropped all the best songs as singles in the years before this even dropped. other then those songs theres maybe 2 other songs that are memorable on the tracklist, that bein said those songs that had dropped previously are great songs but the hype is js dead around them now
too much wait for far too little music, it feels like the majority of the tracks here were rushed in the weeks before its release and that all the months since its announcement were used for a whole lotta nothing. if this had released last year i would have been so excited to listen to it but by now a mediocre to bad album with a bunch of dead hype is just whatever honestly
a album that hits incredibly hard every verse clearly has a ton of energy and the album has such a cool sound to it that i cant describe as it doesn't stray too far from the norm but is enough to where its so addicting songs like troubles and x wing have been in my rotation since this released, really repayable on its own also
cool album however i feel it doesnt reach the highs boy anonymous did and for its length only has a few songs that really show the uniqueness and style of this duo that being said it is still pretty good and DnD is one of my favorite songs now
after further thought and more listens this album has 0 misses no song under a 7 and its been on repeat for multiple days now.
everything about this album makes it a smooth and enjoyable listen whether its the interesting production or the energy that the performers put in it is really really addicting and feels like quality
one day ill drop a more detailed review but for now ill just say that the guy who made this made vultures 1 and 2
A Album that on first listen made me believe Ye was back it was fun and sure it lacked a substance but you could tell it was meant to be a club album.
