this album's going to be a bit divisive for a while but considering the void that was left behind but regardless still solid
this is probably the closest thing we are getting to another SOAD album aside from maybe a feature from Serj.
Skip the Movie, play the soundtrack
it's bands/or Artists like that have given the scene a bad name being labeled as Trashcore in the process, this is no exception, while the singles were solid individually but put together with the Mugshot Album as a whole it becomes repetitive & stale with obnoxious lyrics that make Ronnie the Clown sound insecure and Reactionary to the point where he takes it to ex-twitter in a similar vein toTom MacDonald or Chris T Brown.
There are not many groups regardless of genre that can bring this level of effort & dedication to their debut. None other than an Aussie Metalcore band to be the exception to that rule & stand out among the crowd by being more harmonic & even operatic than their peers at times. It’s bands like these that are endemic to Australian Music.
an esoteric first half might leave you scratching you head but starts to click after "I Fly"
Out of all the bands that were making a new breed of Prog Metal called “Djent” this is the one that got me into this style of music with their album “Polaris”. Two albums later they have adapted & delivered with this entry.
There’s more to this Synth-Prog band than their Eurovision entries “Dreamer” & “Promise” with songs like “Prince of Fire” & “Ultraviolet” exceeding them.
An unexpected offering from A7X even if it is a bit disjointed
