very fun but doesnt really add anything, but also doesnt take away from the original
kinda a disappointing release with his recent output of singles, really expected more but I guess it is respectable for what it is
a little generic and uninspired. however "don't smile" is such a great closer i kinda forgot how meh the middle portion of the album was
travis's new material is so much better, never quite saw the hype with this project and still don't with the remaster
Favorites: redrum, n.h.i.e, letter to my brudda, dangerous, nee-nah, see the real, prove it, should’ve wore a bonnet
not memorable whatsoever. honestly forgot what I was listening to, but it wasn't bad enough for me to notice. some vibes here and there but generally underdeveloped and half-baked cuts from wasteland
super solid first studio album, a great step up from his past material. i actually enjoyed the "first time" narratives throughout the album & the emotional loss theme. although the songs are quite short, nothing feels missing or empty. some production misses here and there, but as a whole, it is pretty consistent. laroi has a unique voice that is displayed throughout nicely. I will say I enjoyed the more slow and mellow tracks on here. great, couldn't have asked for ... read more
a fun listen but heavily loses steam as the tracklist progresses. I also found the earlier tracks to be way more enjoyable, but it dragggggs towards the end, too one-dimensional
favorites: green room, jennifer's body, fighting my demons, hardcore, me n my kup, pots, nightcore
least fav: idk
Typical Drake, some massive bangers mixed with smooth r&b, but mostly diluted with filler. I found this album overall slightly underwhelming compared to his recent efforts, but there are definitely higher highs featured here. I heard a hiatus is following this, which is great, considering the massive music output over the past few years. Hopefully, he can bring something to the table that will showcase the highs without the filler. Regardless, I still ate this up as the shameful Drake stan ... read more
some good ideas... right?
Actually yes, I enjoyed this album quite a lot. The production on GUTS is larger and her vocals are really consistent throughout, especially on the tracks "lacy" and "teenage dream". "love is embarrassing" is another track worth pointing out, the production is grand, and her falsetto jumps towards the end of the track sound great. Unfortunately, the songwriting has not improved much since SOUR, but that should not take away from the ... read more
What would have been Uzi's best album, if it hadn't been bloated with unnecessary filler. Uzi's attempt to try different sounds is admirable, and when the tracks stick the landing, they are amazing. But when they don't, they are pretty terrible. Much like every modern trap album, an editing of the tracklist would have been very beneficial.

Despite all odds, Travis was able to live up to the hype (and dare I say it) create a more exciting and genre bending album than Astroworld. Rough, dark production mixed with Scott’s aggressive rapping creates an industrial atmosphere which reminds me of past works such as Rodeo. Kanye’s fingerprints are all over the record, especially on “CIRCUS MAXIMUS”, which is just a carbon-copy of “Black Skinhead” which could have been cut.

AUSTIN is a step in the right direction for Post Malone, he sounds right at home on more acoustic tracks. Discussing his challenges with drug and alcohol addiction, raw and personal lyrics provide Malone’s best songwriting to date (turning a blind eye to those shrek lines on socialite). The production and mixing are extremely off putting at times, which I think is the biggest downfall of the album. “Green Thumb” features a gorgeous chord progression which is my personal ... read more
Might prefer this slightly more than AM3, as the vocals are more present and blended better with the instrumentals. The first half or so are doing most of the heavy lifting, project slightly falls off slightly in the back end as everything sounds a little too similar
