The Way It Ends is a modern-day classic entry into the metalcore genre. Although this album is admittedly controversial in itself, it stands out as a great, comprehensive, and perfectly-flowed album that will be listened to for years to come.
Currents has always been a band that teetered on the border of metalcore and deathcore with subtle elements of black metal. However, this album had a much different sounds from their previous releases. Criticized for its 'mainstream-ish' sound, the ... read more
Imminence, after incorporating more acoustic elements such as their signature violin, have put together a very good album. Resembling a medley of well-thought tracks, this album sounds more like an art piece. This comes with a caveat though: one can only stare at an art piece for so long.
This album starts off relatively strong with many of its singles shining bright. The song structures and melodies are varied and have distinct sounds (you can listen to the first 10 seconds of each song and ... read more
Currents' 2nd single for 2022 is again a POWERFUL one. Instead of the melodic elements of their previous single The Death We Seek, Currents chooses to go all out power. The haunting atmospheric guitar that plays in the intro and throughout the song is very reminiscent of their earlier works in The Place I Feel Safest, and the drums and bass are blisteringly room-shaking.
Incredible metal track, and this is only further solidifies the excitement for their (hopefully) soon to be announced album ... read more
A sudden drop by King Iso who's lyricism and flow continues to evolve to peak of vintage Tech N9ne. This release's content is very good/bad, with songs hitting high hi's and low lo's.
The EP starts solid with 3 near-flawless tracks, however starts to nosedive. The songs begin to slow, however they don't really hit the tone that Iso is expecting I think.
A lot of the songs feel like they were leftovers from previous album releases, whether good or bad. I was also expecting a better ... read more
King Iso' 2nd Strange Music release flies high, but doesn't touch the peaks that his previous release World War Me does. His lyricism continues to evolve however and the flow on the tracks is top notch.
Many tracks he dives into both personal and societal issues, such as Not Well and Window. His mental health songs such as Hypocrite and Cover The Scars don't seem to touch as deep as his previous album's songs on the same topic, however they are sufficient enough.
Fairly Solid ... read more
Wolves At The Gate's Christmas release is a powerful one. A few of the tracks are remixed original Christmas songs, however their take on them is pretty fantastic. The original songs on this EP really help elevate this to be listen-to for a non-Christian listener.
Metalheads NEED to listen to the first 2 tracks. They are not remix songs and are a blast. The metalcore mixed with orchestral elements are beautiful and remind me of Imminence, except with more blistering guitar riffs and solos. ... read more
