I'm getting English Teacher vibes from this, I really enjoyed listening to this.
Favourite and best track: Ghost
Yet another incredible album from Travis Orion, in the same year as his other album "Stay Safe, Little One". post recovery seems to be missing something however, I'm unsure what it is but it doesn't hit as much as Stay Safe, Little One did. Still one of my '26 favourites so far however.
Favourite and best track: goodmourning
I love it I love it I love it. Thank you @jonag for the recommendation!!! Another banger album from friend's house records.
Favourite and best track: Picture Day
What the actual fuck is this, Going Shopping sucked and so I wasn't expecting them to be able to release something that's 10x worse. Some people shouldn't have access to autotune.
Damn, I don't know how I initially skipped this album since I didn't really like the one song I listened to a few years ago. This album is amazing, the insanely high rating and purple must-hear status on here are definitely deserved.
Favourite and best track: Beach Life-In-Death
I got CCF recommended yesterday after another album I was listening to had finished and I wasn't expecting it to be a Car Seat Headrest song considering I tried listening to CSH before and I wasn't a fan. However, this album changed that opinion for me. I really enjoyed listening to The Scholars, I will definitely check out more work from them.
Favourite and best track: Planet Desperation
Furries make the best music lowkey
Favourite and best song: Before Machinery
Good album, glad to see all of black midi still know how to make music.
Favourite track: Saint
Awesome pressing (Sky Blue), awesome music, awesome sound. 100/100
Black Midi's absolute best, the only album with Matt. The album that got me into the "Windmill-scene". This album is just perfect, I wish 7-eleven was featured on the album considering that's my favourite track with Cameron on vocals. However, that doesn't take away how great the actual album tracks are.
RIP Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin 💔🕊️
Favourite track: Of Schlagenheim
It baffles me how underrated this album is, I got it recommended through a TikTok and I was really surprised by the lack of attention it's been receiving. Like what, 48 monthly listeners on Spotify. Most listened to song just 11K streams. Never sold on Discogs, in 15 years?!? This deserves way more attention than what is has been getting since it's been released.
Favourite track: Steady Hands
After contributing to so many amazing pieces of music within the Windmill-scene. Nina Lim (known as Ninush) releases her debut EP! I absolutely love the drift towards Chamber Pop within the scene. This EP sounds very promising towards a future debut LP.
Favourite and best track: The End
Nearly perfect debut album. I don't give a shit if it turns out they are an industry plant. Doesn't take away the fact that the music is magnificent.
Favourite and best track: Caesar on a TV Screen
The day this album released, I listened to it all day and night. However, after relistening to both their albums on the same day. I'm not so sure whether I prefer From the Pyre to Prelude to Esctasy or if it's the other way around. I would place these albums on the same level and score them the same because of this. Both are great albums.
Favourite and best track: Sail Away
Nothing compared to their sophomore album. This album felt a bit bland to me. I'm glad they stepped up their game now.
Favourite and best track: The Overload
