Lacks a cohesive sound - the switch from country pop to genero-pop to trap beats are jarring, the album is ironically way too long for an album called short n' sweet. Despite being the lead single, Espresso feels like the outlier here.
Not much in the way of instrumentation nor lyricism to grab onto here - her use of sexual innuendo starts off as cute and tongue-in-cheek, but start to grate as you delve 10+ tracks in.

Camp, fun, light and vocally flawless, TRAFOAMP is a fantastic introduction to Chappell Roan and her sound.

Remi Wolf’s second album explodes out the blocks with fantastic funky singles that may be some of the best she’s ever released. Unfortunately, the front half of the album being so loaded means the second half just sounds a little less powerful by comparison.
Nonetheless, Remi Wolf is at her most vocally powerful and commanding in this album, and when her sound is at its best, few can touch her in the pop funk genre.

Revisiting this album in 2024, I’ve reached the unpopular opinion that HS gets more criticism that it warrants. Often written off as just Sign of the Times and nothing much else, the more you persist with the other tracks on the record, the more they grow on you with their smart instrumentation and soft rock tones.
