doechii girl get behind me
most insane setup by a management team since bella ramsey's casting as ellie
no 3 min+ songs </3
fully convinced that pinkpantheress' music is filled with sugar, spice, and everything nice. now we just need her to make a slightly longer song because a pinkpantheress song thats longer than three minutes would feed families
i didnt REALLY wanna jump on the hate train, but its very, very, VERY boring. the reason critics like it (other than the payola) is probably because of the message. even still, its extremely basic and surface level, and the statement self esteem is trying to make is just Not Good. its not WOMANS WORLD bad, but its in the same ballpark.
okay, if the message sucks, the production must be good, right, Rolling Stone UK? no. easily the worst part of this album is the production. not because the ... read more
pretty good, and contains some pretty peak lyricism (i also stand outside of LL Bean trying to get free womens sweaters)
a lot of it did feel kind of same-y, and it got kinda repetitive. what were they trying to do on best in show pt. iv tho? whatever it was, it didnt stick the landing.
this is one of my favorite album covers of all time. something about the big white bold font plastered in front of the vibrant pink background slightly being covered by the hands all reaching upwards is appealing to me.
as for the album, the first half is some of the best music ive ever heard. even flow, alive, and black are all absolutely incredible songs. the rest isnt quite as spectacularly amazing, but its still really great, and i can safely say that i enjoyed my whole listening ... read more
its got some absolute hits, especially in the first half. i mean, lifestyle trainers and chapel of salt were absolutely incredible, and will most definitely make it into my rotation of songs that im enjoying right now. the rest wasnt anything spectacular, but it was all good, and i enjoyed it, but i wish it was at the same quality as some of the material in the first half.
SHADOW WIZARD MONEY GANG 💸💸💸💸💸💸💸
WE LOVE CASTING SPELLS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
this band's album arts do NOT match with their music in the slightest
i can feel this shit in my BONES man. i haven't heard sunbather, but if its anything like this, im more inclined to listen to it. I dont really have any experience with blackgaze, but it seems as though this band is a great introduction to the genre, and i can safely say that i'm more interested in it because of this album. heathen is excellent, and so is amethyst. i am SAT.
'music' are you sure?
mans is just farming for tiktok edit audios 😭 worst album rollout oat for the worst album oat with the worst kendrick feature oat? sorry but this shit is not appealing at all to me. rather lie and good credit are fire, but even that's followed up by the disaster that is fine shit. idgaf abt how new it is this shit sucks unfortunately. the singles made it seem as though it would be a good album, unfortunately it wasnt </3
this was never gonna be anything spectacular or groundbreaking, but i found it to be very derivative and needlessly cringe. the two most popular songs on this, those being break the rules and boom clap, while not terrible in terms of production, just have really cringy lyrics, and i just cant get behind it. not much of a sucker (haha get it) for this type of early 2010's music, but its whatever for what it is.
today, i opened up the aoty website, and scrolled down to the 'users best' section, and to my surprise, instead of EUSEXUA at number 2, an album with a spanish title and an almost fully black album cover had replaced it. i open the page for this album, only to roll my eyes at the genres. 'post-rock, art rock'. how generic. i take a look at the reviews and roll my eyes further into the back of my head when i see them all talking about the similarities between this album and ... read more
that first half is actually incredible, but i wish the rest of the album was as good as it. it kinda falls off after zombieboy, and the songs arent dreadfully bad, they (with the exception of shadow of a man and die with a smile) dont nearly live up to the first half. other than that, im gonna need garden of eden and vanish into you intravenously injected into my bloodstream
i LOVED the first track, and the rest was pretty great too, but none of the other songs really got to that high. as for the 'floating' feeling that ive seen many describe... eh? kinda? i can see where you're coming from when you say that, but i personally get that more from something like Spiritualized®.
pretty average and standard from tate mcrae. not as boring and forgettable as her previous album, so this is definitely an improvement, but i still find myself not caring all too much.
one of her weaker projects, but its carly rae jepsen, so a weak project is still pretty good from her. a few standout hits (the obvious ones), but everything else blends into the same batch of decency, if that makes sense. wtvr.
its a bit of a cliche to say this, but country really just isnt my thing. i really just dont care. however, i can still appreciate this country effort from beyonce. i mostly just didn't care, except for a few tracks (16 carriages can save lives)
i still wholeheartedly believe that billie deserved that aoty grammy (even if i do think that brat was the better album), but im not too mad at this
woah...
i was shocked i liked this as much as i did. i always saw it as a 'middle child' within the gy!be discography, but i think i can confidently say that this is a contender for my favorite project by them. man, mladic is such an incredible song. i need it injected into me intravenously. absolutely incredible
violin phase did feel a little bit like a filler, especially with how much time it takes up here, but otherwise this is pretty excellent. entrancing, and takes the listener to a different plane of existence. i really do need to explore the minimalism genre more, with how much i enjoyed this, as well as some of his other works, as well as glassworks and brian eno's ambient 1.
with this, i will have listened to the weeknd's entire album/mixtape/ep discography (no the shitty tv show eps dont count i wont listen to them you cant make me)
if im being real, i wasnt really feeling this one. sure, starboy is an excellent opener, the last two tracks are amazing, and reminder and sidewalks are good too. but, kendrick carries sidewalks very hard, and the rest of the songs aren't anything special or remarkable at all. i can still appreciate what this album ... read more
im a wholehearted believer in the truth that lupe fiasco is not only one of the most underrated rappers alive, but also one of the best. his lyricism is genuinely second to none its insane
this shit is CRAZY. i listened to samurai when it came out last year, and i can't believe i took till today to get to this. genuinely impeccable front to back. this would be a perfect album, if it werent for that fuckass outro. if this album ended at kick, push II, it would be a 100, but unfortunately, ... read more
