Vince Staples - Cry Baby

Your white supremacist mom is to Tom McDonald as Bluesky users are to this - overpraising the album without actually caring what is actually being said. Don't get me wrong, Vince is insanely good and this album is awesome, and is not any remote comparison to "political rappers" like Macklemore or something, but I fear that if I glaze this album too much (which you should), I'm associating too much with the self-proclaimed "woke and PROUD" Caucasians who say anyone ... read more

The album we didn't know we needed, and yet the album we didn't need.

Kim Petras - Detour

I need to stop glazing every transgender hyperpop artist, but come ON. What do you want me to do?!

Drake - Nothing Was the Same

Drake wishes he could be Drake so badly

Gao the Arsonist - DEGENERATE

can't buy the album but this is the best i can do. please listen, this goes crazy hard. not just to support a struggling guy, but also as a good substitute for peggy after er was such a disappointment to y'all

domer - domer (domerluxe)

ok im done with the domer joke im not doing this for every release they do

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD

he named his tape "yeah these songs didn't make the cut so i'm throwing them in the trash" and then proceeded to make and probably forget better shit than you ever thought of

Ακύλας [Akylas] - Press Start

Having no way of comparing this to any other albums in its genre, nor of knowing what eurodance actually sounds like, I'll just say "yeah it's pretty good, I really liked Ferto" because those are currently the only true statements I can really make here.

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP

IMO, nothing people complain about on this album are faults Peggy hasn't had for a while. His lyricism has always been about the same thing, his flows don't have the greatest variation, and he's always been a little bit conceited. 25 songs is annoying, yes, but OFFLINE has 20 and ILDMLFY deluxe is 28. How are you guys only noticing this now? The vocal aspect has lost its touch a little bit, granted, but it's still solid, and the production is as experimental (lol) as ever. I ... read more

נועם בתן [Noam Bettan] - Michelle

wow im sure the reviews for this song will not be politically charged at all. NR because no number i could give would be actually about the music. honestly, i didnt hate the song itself, and i just wish noam represented any other country but the one he did. nothing is his fault.

DARA - Bangaranga

Thanks for saving us. I thought the song was kinda mid, but that performance and choreography will be a gold standard in Eurovision as far as I can guess. The initial 60 may seem unfair, but I’m sure it will rise.

Zay Dante - TASTE

Not exactly Quadeca or Joji's level of Youtube musician, but he's surprisingly not embarrassing himself, unlike SOMEONE who dropped today (I won't say Drake's name out loud). If I hadn't been a fan of his skits since We Don't Trust You, you could tell me he was in the XXL Freshman class last year and featured on the new Denzel Curry mixtape, and I would believe you. He has potential, that's all I'll say.

Edit: Oh shit he has actual lyricism outside ... read more

I tell myself I give out too many 100s on this site, but then I listen to albums like these. What do you want me to do, me?

Drake - ICEMAN
NR

1. No, I'm not willingly listening to 2.5 hours of Drake in 2026. He should just retire, no point in continuing to make a fool of himself like this. Come on, man.
2. However, it would be EXTREMELY funny if he continues making music until he dies of natural causes. I'll have settled, with two kids and a swimming pool (I'm not brave!), and my grandson will ask me if I know who Drake is, the guy who just died and released 5 posthumous albums at once, bringing his catalog to 261 ... read more

Let people do shit sometimes. You guys are the reason gifted kids get depressed and burnt out. You won't let them do anything that isn't "Living Up to Their Full Potential" or some bullshit like that. They'll grow up an empty shell of a prodigy, never living up to ridiculous expectations which are the only things anyone think they are - talented. Do better.

Danny Brown - Quaranta

The successor to his breakout mixtape, while being a little rocky at times, does hit in all the right ways. Definitely can't wait for נ, 𝋣𝋠, 七十, The Rating atomicblueberry Gave for Quaranta on AOTY.com, Naǔdek, and 1100100₂ when they all drop in the coming decades.

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert

Simbi has broken the record for "longest time I went without making fun of a British person's accent." 2 minutes may not sound like a lot, but it did translate to an hour of me shutting the f*** up and thinking "damn!" the entire time.

"I’m not going to say anything about “oH yOu JuSt HaTe MuSiC” because this sounds much more like burnout. Maybe you should take a break from this. Doing something you don’t like and don’t get anything from is a pretty terrible thing to do to yourself. I say this genuinely, I get it if you feel like music is less inventive, you aren’t the only one, but I really don’t think constantly listening to music you consistently find not worthwhile is good for your health."
On sophieisnthome's review of RAYE - THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
"this is my impression too, i felt that the themes were so in-your-face that it wrapped around to actually being good. Normally this amount of obviousness leaves me feeling like after a terrible cash grab Disney sequel, but the sheer amount of “yeah this album is literally entirely about hope and overcoming struggle, if you didn’t get the message i don’t know what to tell you” that she brings is just so counterintuitively warming for no reason. The music is not subtle whatsoever but somehow i wouldn’t have it any other way."
