By listening to Quaristice.Quadrange.ep.ae (catchy name), you’re quite literally staring into the void — just like the cover suggests. It’s a very odd release, especially with the final track stretching to a full hour... The overall atmosphere is dark and bleak, but somehow it works?. “Tkakarnen” is insanely oppressive-aggressive, almost like psychedelic brutal techno, followed by “90101-51-6,” which oddly enough reminds me of I Hate Models.
Christ, “bladelores” is insanely gorgeous track, one of the best Autechre track on my list. I would gladly buy this if it was a Single release on any music format. The album — it’s quite insane in its own right. That’s literally the end game, the magnum opus of crazy Autechre experiments. It requires proper mindset, especially for how long it is (17 god damn tracks, and all of them are cool, which is mind-blowing).
One of the most important piece of music in the history of humanity. If you don’t believe this comment, go ask a Computer, OK?

For a small EP from '98, this thing sounds far decent than I expected. Easy to listen, clear, simple, effective. "Blond 2" has a surprising ambiance, by far the best track on this record. Blond 3 is a bit faster and agressive and somehow sounds effortless, a really nice balance. Blond 4 has some cool percussinons right at the center of the soundstage and overall sounds quite wide. Good techno!
