A flawless album that I consider to be a must listen for anyone who I enjoys 60s folk
Let's begin with talking about Paul Banks' vocals, they're softer and almost feel more depressing (similar to his vocals for Muzz), which I can appreciate quite a bit.
This certainly isn't their best album, but I also don't think it's a bad album by any means, in fact, it's still among my favourites from their discography.

This is Post-Punk that Shoegaze fans will likely appreciate, considering its noisy and dreamy qualities.
It echoes 80s Goth Rock, Cold Wave, and Industrial, which truly brings me joy (ironically, the mood of this album is far from upbeat).
This was a wonderful listen overall and I highly recommend it.
Even with the prior knowledge of how well-crafted other MGMT releases are, I was blown out of the water by how legitimately awesome this album was!
When I first put this album on, I feel that, like many favourites of mine, I didn't properly take in what I heard; the album has so much going on that I legitimately had to give it a second listen, which is a good thing!

This is one of the most beautiful albums that I've ever heard!
I love how atmosperic and dark it is, I love how it flows from one segment to the next practically seemlessly, I love how it doesn't demand my attention; I could easily listen to this whilst laying on my back and staring at the ceiling (I've actually done that once before).
