This was my most anticipated release of the year, and to be honest, I think I set my expectations too high. I still like it, don't get me wrong, but after Satan's Little Hell Song was released, I was expecting something that would absolutely blow me away. That is not what I found. To be fair, I often find that I need to give their songs a few listens before I really *get* them, so I'll keep listening until something clicks. I'll make an edit with my updated thoughts ... read more
The album starts very weak, I don't see myself revisiting much of the first half a whole lot. Probably a 4/10 on it's own. The production is technically good but it's just not for me. I truly have nothing else to say about the first five tracks.
Thankfully, it picks up in the second half with have you seen me dance alone. The beat is some straight up beeps and boops, but aurora's haunting vocals layered over them works very well. Then we get to somewhere else, which is the ... read more
The album starts strong, I think invariable proof and muramasa are both solid additions to their discography, but it gets a little weaker after that. Reconquista has some good riffs but I don't think pure harsh vocals suit their style very well tbh.

That said, it still does build an atmosphere and do well what she's always done well at a baseline. Although, this and the previous single (the new bog bodies remix) definitely feel a little ... read more
Pretty alright! I was in the mood for some indie rock so I decided to check this out. When I first put this on I started reading an article and immediately forgot I had started listening for a couple full minutes. That is how easily it faded into the background. Also, I'm really shocked that people didn't like Eastside! Imo, that was the most unique song on the album (or long EP, let's be real). Overall, there's nothing wrong with some easy listening and I did not have a bad ... read more
