My love letter to Kanye West's 7th studio album, The Life Of Pablo
Apparently here Pablo refers to three figures in history. Pablo Picasso, one of the greatest artists of all time, Pablo Escobar, the most notorious drug lord of all time, and Paul the apostle otherwise known as Saint Pablo, balancing art, ego, and faith, the same three forces that define his entire life.
The album begins with a religious confession as Ultralight Beam, and follows its descent from the refreshing freedom of ... read more
As a word, Inferno references hell and places reminiscent of it. The album tracklist also heavily refer to concepts in cosmology and physics.
An "Introit" is a song or psalm that is sung or recited at the beginning of a Christian mass.
"Prophecy At 1420 MHz" references the hydrogen line, a specific wavelength of radiation emitted by hydrogen as it undergoes a quantum transition. It has been used to investigate the properties of the universe, and search for extraterrestrial ... read more
Magdalene by FKA Twigs is a classical grandiose painting of an album redone on a modern canvas. The Vespertine of its decade I'll call it.
Each minute came as a shock to me since all of it was so unpredictable. Magdalene relies on a hyper-intimate emotional core and microscopic production detail entirely throughout the runtime.
The artistry of music cannot supposedly conceive a more higher purpose than this. The genres Magdalene meddles in, concludes by nailing each one of them.

It would be difficult to review Camgirl by Crippling Alcoholism.
This album is primarily gothic rock but it doesn't dwell in a blind romanticism.
Rather, Camgirl embodied the cruelest aspects of relationships about a sex worker and the manipulations involved, with both their lyrics and their compositions.
Camgirl masterfully represents self-harm, misanthropia, childhood traumas and destructive infatuations in their composition of the gothic darkwave atmosphere which elevates each ... read more
Damn, what a breakthrough of a first album by the band Roman Candle.
Unadulterated cooks the metalcore with no artificials, ate, and left no crumbs. This has to be my most favorite metalcore release of 2026 and hands down one of the most creative metalcore releases in general.
The vocalist is so energetic and enraging. The riffs build tensions technically all throughout and the drums are clever and engaging.
Each track is so distinct from each other as well. The lyrics gets ever so personal ... read more
It is a matter of shame to me that I am listening to what is, the best record released in 2025, in the middle of 2026. The Spiritual Sound, sighs... where do I even begin with you??
Avant-garde black metal with blackgaze textures, the concept sounds just as wild to me, as the record itself sounded to me.
The Spiritual Sound is exhausting in the chaotic nature, dissonant in the grandiose and catharsis in the answer it provides.
Each track on The Spiritual Sound is connected sonically where ... read more
