my first album by death metal juggernauts Cannibal Corpse, and it’s probably the one with their least gory cover art!
anyway, this is like, about as death metal as death metal gets. zero diversions from the genre’s base sound, this record’s sole focus is to crush you. and it does that. for 42 minutes. is that slightly too long for my taste? yeah, sure. does the album rip? oh yes, yes it does.

most their corpsegrinder stuff is kinda the same kinda stuff as this. Imo violence unimagined does it by far the best tho, if you ever feel like you wanna check out more by em thats my vouch. Their early stuff is also good with a more brutal edge on the bleeding or tomb of the mutilated and more thrashy on the other 2.

@GVLSCH interesting to see your score for their albums gradually increase over the course of their discog as most dm artists usually get worse over time in my experience. but yeah i might tap into violence unimagined thanks for the bump
