Bladee - Gluee
72

its just not clicking for me i suppose, a lot of people i know really love this one but its not doing much for me sadly...i feel like the hype around it kind of made it so i expected more than i got

r u s s e l b u c k - Russelbuck
69

this is alright it feels painfully generic in a few spots but it really doesnt have that much to offer thats really good or really bad to me

Swans - Public Castration Is a Good Idea
78

so loud!!!! just suffocating and filthy from front to back which is a good thing but got a bit tiring towards the end

55

listen,,,,i dont HATE this i think its pretty enjoyable if you arent trying so hard to take it seriously and you can just laugh along with whatever cringy concept is being thrown at you in the songs and theres one part in the last track that i find kind of sweet in a corny way which is cool

Lingua Ignota - ALL BITCHES DIE
90

just as powerful as her other projects this one has some of my favorite moments from the 3 by far i feel like it does drag slightly at a few small moments though

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
79

the star of this for me was the production but i feel like off first listen there is a lack of super memorable moments

Unwound - The Future of What
74

i think this has had my favorite noisy riffs of all the unwound projects but aside from that i wasnt terribly effected by this one sadly its nice but a little long and the muzak sections are cute but the second ones a bit drawn out in my opinion

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
80

didnt resonate with me as much as songs in the key of life which i listened to just before this but it is very good either way i just wish some of the songs were a little more punchy but the last track was pretty amazing

Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
92

i can see why this album means so much to a lot of ppl it offers a very down to earth and human perspective on a lot of dark issues but its presented in an endearing and soulful way and the way the songs are arranged is very smart and thoughtful as to provide an enjoyable experience while tastefully feeding the listener subject material that as far as i know would have been considered taboo for the radio in 1976 my favorite was village ghetto land the bland high life vaguely classical ... read more

Unwound - Unwound
71

short and sweet it just does what it wants to do and gets out of your hair pretty quick not too special of a release from them but not bad at all

Xiu Xiu - Fabulous Muscles
81

the least abrasive xiu xiu album ive heard so far but it still hits that emotionally distressing and sad spot the other records have

Iron & Wine - The Shepherd's Dog
78

wasnt super in love with the first stretch of the album but i really really like from track 8 onward

Unwound - Challenge for a Civilized Society
79

honestly didnt start out too interesting for me but as it went on there were a lot of parts i really liked and i feel like i would have missed out on if i hadnt listened

Lingua Ignota - SINNER GET READY
94

haunting and sickening and brutal and all around just incredibly devastating but it ends with a feeling of cathartic closure to me very beautiful

80

everything on this instrumentally is really insane

Unwound - Repetition
78

not my favorite from unwound so far but theres a lot of really cool moments on the production and noise side of things that i enjoy a lot

Jordaan Mason - The Decline of Stupid Fucking Western Civilization
72

the instrumentals were sadly my least favorite part of this one save the drums in some sections, but the writing was pretty wonderful and i liked it a lot just wish the instrumentals were a bit different

Burzum - Filosofem
77

not bad by any stretch but also not terribly intriguing to me there werent any moments where i really felt like it picked up enough to do much for me idk

Chat Pile - God’s Country
80

god damn dude this band is so fucking loud

Swans - Swans Are Dead
90

probably the best live album ive heard its so intense and loud and it sounds amazing my favorite was definitely feel happiness i love the way they build their songs
