Accelerated Evolution

Accelerated Evolution is the first of two albums released by The Devin Townsend Band, and holy shit is it a good one. The guitarwork on this album is some of the best guitarwork I’ve heard from Devin, gnarly riffs, great solos, it’s just impeccable. Another thing to note on this album is the atmosphere, which is just absolutely fucking incredible, this can especially be heard on the track ‘Deadhead’, which is easily one of the best songs in Devin’s entire discography. Devin’s vocal performance on this album is also just incredible, it might even be Devin’s best vocal performance in his entire discography. Overall, all of these things paired with amazing songwriting create for an absolutely flawless and extremely enjoyable album.
