Honestly not very many hot takes on the list besides with now now’s placement. I absolutely love demon days and the fall is a lot more boring and lifeless than humanz to me. Cracker island was the most disappointing but at least it doesn’t suck to listen to. Song machine felt a little overhyped to me as it only had a few really fun tracks and the rest were just sort of ehh.

Would be perfect if just a few tracks were improved or sharpened a bit more. I will always be pressing skip on glitter freeze and you can’t stop me. Mos def goes hard on stylo

Wow ok. This was amazing and really only gets better with every listen. Plus I would say the themes are the “realest” of the album considering the context of what Albarn was going through at the time. Really just great fucking fantastic the reason I AM hopeful for Gorillaz

Feels like they set out to do what they did on Demon Days but made it less interesting and less impactful. Valley of the Pagans slaps tho

Too many features, way too intense, really weird direction in general. but some bangers undeniably.

It’s fine, but just lacks the magic they used to have. And looking back honestly the best songs aren’t even that good. The only song I added to any playlist is new gold and I still skip that most of the time it comes on.

Just feels like a short, forgettable summary of the past 5 years of their discography. this has reverse grown on me.

Really boring production, really boring lyrics, really boring album. Every time it was given an opportunity to do something interesting it fell flat.
