The fuck happened to this guys...

A completely fucking crazy record, possibly the heaviest in their catalog. The instrumentals are chaotic, fast, and electrified with acid. However, I really, really miss the catchy structure of the previous record, where almost every song instantly lodged itself in my head. This record is more like the death scream of a deranged sound card — engaging, but by the middle it becomes tiring and quickly forgotten, turning into a crumpled mass of sharp sounds.

This album is silly, plastic, and synthetic in its overproduced sound, cringy lyrically, unable to say anything new or interesting... that's why I'm so, so, so ashamed that I liked it that much. Forgive me, really. Chalk this misunderstanding up to my nostalgia and file it under the "guilty pleasure" category; I understand.

Well, this is definitely the weakest album of their career.

I feel like this record is in dialogue with Radiohead's OK Computer, as if offering something much warmer, more grounded, and more human in place of the cold, detached, and innovative sound, emphasizing this dichotomy with inherently live instruments. I find this to be quite an interesting statement.

Yep, as soon as the album started, I knew for sure that I would forget it as soon as I finished listening to it.

That was great and unforgettable, thank you, and fuck you, I never want to hear that again.
