Strange production choices hold this back. They do an awesome live show, though.
Experimental Hip Hop New Order release their much anticipated debut lp, and they keep up the quality set by Double Trio in 2023
Coldwave with harsh vocals and tremolo picking (sometimes), not quite the black metal I was expecting.
Awesome tone with incredibly muddy production. Not saying that being as clean as possible would be better, just tone down the low end so we can take in everything about this. Other thank that one complaint, this is an exhilarating listen.
May be the most consistent album of all time. Every track is fantastic and there is very little wasted time at all.
It's clear just how influential this has been in the past 27 years by listening to it.
All the ingredients are there, but produced and compressed into a form that actively holds this back.
Doesn't do enough to justify the length. A couple of really great tracks surround by a bunch of mediocre ones. Unique production can only get you so far without interesting ideas.
Glad I discover this after the master was finished, like night and day going back to the old sound.
Much more cohesively put together than 002. Reminds me of Earthbound a little bit, with the laid-back midi bass and psychedelic soundscapes.
Another Bull of Heaven inspired project, this one also pulling from Krautrock and Jam Bands to start out. Wonderful compositions, but held back by some strange production choices. Switch up the soundfont on the drums to something that sounds closer to Joy Division, then we're cooking.
