hit after hit, more perfection from some of the best minds in music right now.
I’m reviewing this purely because of Coloratura. Coldplay, mainly from Parachutes to Viva La Vids, brings me so much nostalgia and relaxation because of memories of my dad who I no longer have. This song brought out emotion in me that I did not even begin to expect from a modern Coldplay song. I really didn’t know they were still capable of something like it. I’m so glad I randomly decided to check it out. It’s their best song since Viva La Vida.
i absolutely love this instrumental, but charli's voice just feels like a mismatch with it. unfortunately, her voice is ultimately the foil for all of her music for me - although i did quite like her vocals on chains of love.
i do wonder if it'll grow on me in the context of the film.
completely randomly listened to this because it's so short and yeah i can't understand any appeal. it's an interesting sonic experience, i suppose, but doesn't feel like something I'd ever enjoy as music. in fact, i was getting annoyed and wanting to skip (particularly on someone said). i enjoyed skrillex's last project a bit but this just makes no sense. also the fact that so many people worked on it. i just don't know why this needs to exist
did NOT expect a song like nice day out of mag bay but they killed it
titw is somehow the easiest 10 ive given out of all the singles
im gonna have to let Unoriginal grow on me, but black eyed susan climb is amazing. we’re being fed so damn well ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
95->100
it grew
to nobody’s surprise, both of the songs are fantastic. at this point, it seems as though mag bay can’t drop anything bad or even unimpressive. i love whatever they’re doing and i’m so spoiled.
the 96 is because humans happens is just a little under a 10 for me
viva la mag bay!
just woke up to see that there's two songs! holy shit!!!!!!!!!!
both made me ascend. some of the most lush instrumentation on any Mag Bay songs, they're going in an insanely fun and interesting new direction and whatever project these singles are part of will simply be the best thing ever.
So, I do have a couple issues with this album.
Too many singles. I would've been way way way more excited for this album if they hadn't already dropped half of it. With a tracklist of 8 songs, my limit is probably 2 or MAYBE 3 tracks. Also the singles are straight up just the best tracks off the album in my opinion.
The sax. Everybody's favorite part. I think the sax i just a bit overused and a bit repetitive at points. I've been following Maruja since Knocknarea and I ... read more
this is everything i wanted but better. i cannot believe what i just listened to. that final song is without a doubt one of the best songs of all time.

so, I've had time to sit on this album and I really do agree with my score. I think this album is easily Quadeca's magnum opus and I think he has some of the most skill of any artist out today. Say what you will about the "overuse" of reverb in his music, particularly on this album, but I really don't think ... read more
usual fishmans peak - although i do much prefer IN THE FLIGHT and WALKING IN THE RHYTHM on 98.12.28, which usually leads me to skipping them on this album.
This Is a True Heart is my favorite Julia Holter song. i love this album
this album is fantastic and simply magical. enchanting. ethereal.
wow, he is not capable of missing anymore
we'll look back in 5 years and be in awe of his discography if we aren't already
This album is so impressive and so fantastic as a debut. Mag Bay had obviously been making music for quite a while by this point, reaching all the way back to Tabula Rasa, but they definitely put their best work up to this point on this album. This album, like Imaginal Disk, has such a dreamy, trancey, psychedelic soundscape that is immersive front to back. Every song is extremely well produced, and sung beautifully by Mica, who I believe to be one of the best voices in the pop industry ... read more
