really fun and celebratory project with great lyricism from both dugui hg and the features, great singing from pierce brown and great soulful production in every single song. the victorious "orange" with punchy drums, the soulful sample on "last summer" and the great and fun verse from Jøjo (which has a reaaaally similar voice to tyler in this track) make this 14-minute-long ep a fun experience.

why is this less than a 70, i feel like it's decent actually. i mean, i get it, it can get kinda messy at times and there are two pretty long lows, but apart from that it's really nice and calm, a nice lp to spend the night with. plus the cover is sweet and goes well with the music so..

heavensouls and stickerbush come back to deliver a more "compilation of short songs" type album, which is fine, but it also kinda brings the album down. with 20 tracks and an hour long lp (15% of it being one song) there are mostly good songs but not that much high highs. the longer songs are obviously the best ones but they're not PEAK they're "just" pretty good. which, again, is fine, but nothing reaaaally stands out like the final track.

this short ep has some really good production and thoughtful lyricism all over it. features are great too, a'roc samson and dkulture bring energy to "star watching" and sweet's production in "arrival" is really...sweet too. i do think some tracks are just kind of the same and pretty obviously derived from his influences, but even those tracks have some punchy bars.
