Young Scott started to rap in 2003, he was releasing few mixtapes, but most of his money he got from work in Virgin Store in Brooklyn. One day in 2006, he have met his mentor, in shop he was working. He gave Kanye his mixtape and he liked it. In 2007, he has released "Day 'N' Nite". Thanks to it, he blow up and got signed to Kanye's label. He help Ye on "808's...", which was inspired by his mixtapes. In 2009, Mescudi's debut album produced by Kanye, was released. "MOTM" shows amazing talent of Cudi. Cudi's performances are really amazing. He raps and sings in the same time, which is probably one of the most influential things from this record. Concept of this record is really good. Cudi, who was fighting with depression throught his whole life, shows on this his life. Character of this story is a person with depression, who run aways from it by drugs, but he after a while wants to change, because of his destructive lifestyle. Even in darkest moments of this record, Man on the Moon is optimistic and he know he can beat anything on his way. Albums story is much better thanks to Common's narration. Production is inspired by pop rap, synthpop and psychodelia. These beats give unique vibe of this record. Features are good. Favorite are Common, YE and MGMT. Overall, this is amazing album that helps listener to fight with their problems.
