New Album Everyday For a Year 26':
15/1/26: Lucy Bedroque - Unmusique
This record has some great moments instrumental wise and some of Lucy's vocal performances are nice but I think this record does lack from originality at times, and maybe Lucy's influences are a bit too obvious to me at times. Whilst that's not the worst thing in the world, some tracks do sound like a Carti filler track. And of course don't get me wrong this album definitely has variety at times and ... read more
New Album Everyday For a Year 26':
14/1/26: Imperial Triumphant - Goldstar
A record that has so many filthy riffs over some of the most mindbending, groovy and hypontic grooves I've heard in metal. Outstanding performances and songwriting in general, with each track building up at the perfect points and throwing everything at you when necessary. This should be an essential listen for Metal fans!
New Album Everyday For a Year 26':
13/1/26: Rochelle Jordan - Play With The Changes
A proper great UK garage/house record that doesn't have any low points and never loses its energy and feel. There's a bit of everything on this record without having to do much, it all mixes and flows quite nicely and each genre change feels like it happens at the right time to keep things interesting. Highly recommend!
New Album Everyday For a Year 26':
12/1/26: Folk Bitch Trio - Now Would Be A Good Time
Unfortunately a fairly run of the mill folk record from the trio. I enjoy some of the production and the performances are nice but I think it lacks in songwriting at certain stages, making it difficult to really grasp on to something for me as a listener. Sarah would be my personal favorite track!
New Album Everyday For a Year 26':
11/1/26: Boldy James & The Alchemist - Super Tecmo Bo
An enjoyably solid, consistent hip hop record which doesn't breakdown any boundaries or go beyond much but isn't to the point where it falls flat and is uninspiring. Just some nice raps over smooth production, can't go wrong!
