It's Only Sex and especially this version of Oh! Starving are in my top 10 favorite csh songs but the rest is incredibly mid. Disappointing.

Basinski's music is pure magic

1/1 is honestly almost a 10/10 track (ironic, the title predicted the proportions) but i would never listen to the other tracks again, with maybe the exception of 2/2 if i'm in the right mood

First two tracks didn't impress me but the remaining three were some of the most beautiful stuff they've ever put out.

fucking spectacular but brought down by tracks 4 to 6, which honestly dragged a bit too much for my taste. Maybe they'll grow on me eventually but OMG songs like Dream House, Irresistible, the title track and The Pecan Tree are just wow.

I literally just listened to this album out of curiosity and already don’t remember anything from it. It sounds good in the moment though.

The most vulgar, thoughtless representation of the rich and the famous' lifestyle while also being genius. Is this intentional satire? Maybe, but it still works well.

i don't want to rate this, it would be like rating the quality of a man's mourning process. As Phil said this is not only an album, this is real, death is real.

Actually not overrated, in its own way IT IS REALLY A MASTERPIECE. The way this album opened up a whole new dimension of making music and an entire new world of peculiar and interesting albums is something that i will never forget.

uhhhmmm i don't really hate this and it didn't bore me but yeah it feels a bit stitched together and some lyrics are pure nonsense. For some reason i had more fun with it than with The Rise Of Hobo Johnson though, maybe just because i was kinda laughing at the absurdity of some parts. I also do hope that Frank/Hobo Johnson is in a better mental state right now, because here and on Hobo Johnson Alienates His Fanbase you can hear that there's something off with him so i hope he's alright.

Some real bangers on here (Mover Awayer, Typical Story, Happiness, I Want A Dog) and almost every other track doesn't really miss even though i wouldn't return to them, especially "Sorry, My Dear" which gets the award for being the only obnoxious song of the project. I don't care though, those first 4 songs that i mentioned are really amazing so GO LISTEN TO THIS NOW.
