Don’t you just love it when you discover a banger of an album from an artist you’ve never heard of AND they’re doing a CONCERT in a city near you THIS Friday? Sometimes there’s a reason in being alive after all.

edit: this record does not feel nostalgic or oldschool to me at all, personally - maybe it’s bc I was too young, or wasn’t tuned into y2k or electronic music and media during that period of my life. Almost every song feels fun, progressive, and has ... read more

Queen of having raw sex 😍

On a more serious note, I think I'd consider this a massive improvement from "Solar Power" - a record that I honestly haven't cared to revisit ever since its release year. And while "Virgin" is not comparable to "Melodrama" or "Pure Heroine" in terms of personality and explosiveness, it's still very much a pleasant progression/combination of Lorde's musical quirks. A YAP session and another serious listen-through for the album I have had on repeat for the past few months! I also went to see them live, 'twas fire 🔥🔥🔥

- She Looked Like Me!
Super intriguing lyrics, but sonically it doesn't have much to offer. This is also the one instance in the album where I'm just okay with the drums - grandiose, but feels digital, stiff and one-dimensional. The live-show version with Nick’s electric drumming is superior imo - a perfect intro ... read more

Nothing has tickled my brain this much since SOPHIE’s ‘product.’ Seriously, songs like Sugar Water Cyanide and Tears in My Pocket blew my fucking mind. The album will be on repeat, and tour tickets will be secured.
