mission: create an unbiased review of ICEMAN by Drake. *warning*: impossible.
seriously, it's impossible to create an "unbiased" review of anything. we all hold our grudges against certain artists that will just make them worse in our eyes. im gonna do an in depth review of this one just so i am 100% sure with myself that i was genuine in my review.
PS. I am not reviewing the other two albums. I have a life and some ears that I wish to continue working properly.
make them cry: 9/10. great beats and some alright drake rapping. a better performance from him could've made this better.
dust: 8/10. good rapping, but the intro pisses me off more than it probably should.
whisper my name: 9/10. damn, this album's pretty good so far. i like drake on this a lot. proud of him. i hope a certain song doesn't drastically change my outlook on this album very suddenly...
janice stfu: 5/10. why he got that nasally ass voice that makes him sound like a castrated canadian squidward. trash
ran to atlanta: 5/10. generic ahh trap song featuring the most washed trap artist in the game. song to die to frfr
shabang: 7/10. not bad. never coming back to it though.
make them pay: 6/10. longer than it needed to be and had some weird lyrics at times but it was alright i guess.
burning bridges: 4/10. horrible chorus and it repeats for 50% of the song. the other 50% isn't good either.
national treasures: 9/10. yeah it's pretty great. unusually great rapping performance from Drake, especially in the first section.
b's on the table: 5/10. generic rap song with washed ahh 21 savage
what did i miss?: 7/10. only thing about this album that made me slightly excited for it before it came out.
plot twist: 8/10. a more enthusiastic rapping performance from Drake would've made this from an 8 to a 10 but god he just sounds like he wants to get out of the studio.
2 hard 4 the radio: 7/10. drake sounds like he was forced to make a song with a west coast beat and fucking hates it.
make them remember: 4/10. boring as shit.
little birdie: 5/10. damn i didn't think it was that bad y'all jeez
don't worry: 0/10. what a catastrophe of a song. i didn't even think egomaniac old ass drake could do THIS bad. i guess every album he has Scorpion and beyond absolutely HAS to have a 0/10 song.
firm friends: 5/10. decent conductor williams beat. drake is alright. it's okay. nothing horrible. nothing bad. just boring af again.
make them know: 7/10. not bad. just like the other make them songs.
overall: it's aight. not as bad as some people say and not as good as some glazers will say.
