What an experience. This album starts off great with For Whom The Bell Tolls, then it goes into kind of a generic trap/rap thing with some good lyricism. then change was pretty awesome and great and everything, then it was kinda mid again, then she's mine pt. 2 was really good, and then
4 Your Eyez Only is a song that makes you think not just about yourself, but about your parents, the ones who love you, and the ones who have been around you your entire life. These people have raised you, ... read more
This album feels so carefree and joyous, and I really respect that for an album that set so many new standards for non-violent rap that wasn't common or liked at the time. In other words, I respect this album. There are just some things here that definitely needed to be ironed out in my opinion. Some of the rapping performances from the three artists get stale over time. The production from Prince Paul is an absolute slam dunk on every track, though. Especially Eye Know and Me Myself and ... read more
great collection of music to be added ontop of CMIYGL. better on average than the actual album.
best songs: SORRY NOT SORRY, BOYFRIEND GIRLFRIEND, WHARF TALK
got slightly worse. some pretty unimpressive performances at times with some fantastic highlights. some of tyler's most lively work with some real soul put into it and some tasteless white filth, like what crawls inside of mcdonalds chicken nuggets. happens.
favorite songs: manifesto, hot wind blows, rise!
imagine regressing so much in just 2 years. whether it be ego or simple musical degradation, this is not good at all. Repetitively middling is what i'd call this thing. there are some rare good moments. I like Burning Hammer and The Ghost of Emmitt Till enough for just being different from the norm. Yen's also good. besides that its all mid from here twin. i guess he succeeding in making a better album then Earl's low ass bar he set with utility.
mission: create an unbiased review of ICEMAN by Drake. *warning*: impossible.
seriously, it's impossible to create an "unbiased" review of anything. we all hold our grudges against certain artists that will just make them worse in our eyes. im gonna do an in depth review of this one just so i am 100% sure with myself that i was genuine in my review.
PS. I am not reviewing the other two albums. I have a life and some ears that I wish to continue working properly.

the first time an artist has ever had two of my favorite albums of all time. Ween was just REALLY good in April ig. I only got around to putting an official review on this thing now, but it's peak. the range that ween can express to a very solid level while also staying at a very accessible level (for the most part) is fascinating and it works to perfection. Ice Castles is kinda haunting and i love that.
This album took a bit to grow on me, but it really did. There's a great stretch at the end and a great stretch at the beginning of the album with two weird songs in the middle. Definitely a pretty underappreciated album this year.
nah bro i loved this album. I don't get the low user score, there was absolutely nothing bad about this, and nothing even mid. There are four perfect songs on this thing. (Patron Saint of Pale, Bad Moons, No Feeling, and Blood on my Blood). It's emotional an has a really interesting soundscape that i really love. My personal favorite album of 2026 so far. It would be higher if it were longer, though.
this was a pretty good album. had some standouts in SUPAFICIAL and ACT NORMAL but other than that, it was pretty consistently great. Not much else to say.
pretty awesome album. i like the part where deaner arrives with his big package and sits on the edge of my bed
i didn't look at the user rating before this i swear. as with all ween albums, it'll grow on me anyways.
edit: it did
the amount of chemistry el-p and killer mike have with each other here through vocals and production is unparalleled. rivals some of the best hip-hop duos and groups in history. it's sad that they only ever really got close to this level on like half of RTJ3. i didn't like RTJ4 that much.
huh. didn't expect this on relisten. but really, there's nothing bad about this album. There is not one singular section of music here that is bad. it's just banger after banger. nothing else to say and nothing else that needs to be said.
i'm sorry this album was just nothing to me. after the first few songs of MIKE's side, the production got old. then it just kept repeating. this album is just two artists never designed for these tik-tok audio ass beats hopping on them for 15 songs each. i expected so much better from this stacked duo on paper. on paper, this sounds like so much better of a project than it is.
I thought this album was so good. Not a single bad song on here, and only one that I would ever skip (A.D.D. Through the Roof). Songs 2-7 are a contender for best run of consistently great songs in a row.
it wasn't that bad y'all. maybe a little basic but idk i thought it had some great songs on it
