Didn’t love it but I don’t think it’s necessarily bad. Not sure if I like the direction The Weeknd is going in right now though.
I’m really sick of the trend of heavily distorted beats filled with an overload of unpleasant sounds. On top of this, the lyrics were awful and the delivery was even worse. Cloud rap is one of my favorite genres, but this project is a huge disgrace to it and shouldn’t even be considered it in my opinion.
Before this review I’d like to mention that the album was repeatedly glitching and skipping on apple music. I don’t know if this has to do with the album but this has literally never happened with any album ever before this.
This album was not needed. They took mediocre snippets and put them on the most basic beats imaginable. The production was subpar, with the bass often being a huge pain in my ears. The lyrics were a probably the biggest lowlight of this album. It was literally ... read more
The beats were really interesting but the lyrics were hard to follow. I don’t really see myself returning to any of these songs anytime soon. It’s extremely easy to get sick of MIKE’s laid back rapping style.
I really enjoy this album. It’s perfect to listen to while doing work. Despite the interesting and unique sounds, this album is still really chill.
This is the first Quadeca album I’ve ever listened to. I had no idea what to expect since the genres listed here are really diverse. Although I don’t think it’s incredible, this take on hiphop as well as other genres really interests me. During some parts quality of the lyrics was questionable, and the lyrics could sometimes be repetitive, but the production usually made up for it. And even though I usually prefer to be able to hear the lyrics well, the distortion and vocal ... read more
Genuinely one of the worst albums I’ve ever listened to. The instrumentals were terrible (except for the more you know), and his voice is painful to listen to, and the effects make it even worse. The lyrics were repetitive and brainless. The most concerning part of this is that there are people who actually enjoy music like this. I hope I’m never in the state of mind jaydes was when he made this.
A very personal experience but still very fun and enjoyable.
Why would you put “two tens” at the end of the album?? It doesn’t fit at all and the song is meh.
Favorites: Pray, Saturday Mornings
Very boring and forgettable. Wasn’t necessarily bad though.

Going into this album I had no idea what to expect but I can say whatever I was expecting was very much exceeded. Cloud rap will always be one of my favorite genres and it’s excites me to see where it’ll go in the future.
Favorite: Ball Out
I wasn’t crazy about the first couple songs, but towards the end this album became much more enjoyable. Maybe it will grow on me, who knows. As always, The Alchemist provides really nice production on every song, though I do prefer when other people rap on the beats. Still a solid project. And damn that last song “Seasons Change” is soul crushing.
Favorite: Seasons Change
I’ve never been a huge fan of ratchet west coast hip hop, and this album didn’t necessarily help that, but like always, Kendrick’s incredible lyricism definitely improved this. Some of the earlier songs started off way too boring for my liking, and even though they got more intense towards the end, I feel as if it took way too long.

Westside Gunn is yet to blow me away with a project. The beats are unique as always and the flow and bars are decent as per usual, but I am always anticipating something new on each project yet they all tend to sound way too similar.
As Lil Yachty continues to venture into the world of alternative music, he continues to be relatively consistent with his efforts. Although this album seemed a little boring compared to his previous alternative project “Let’s Start Here”, he still managed to make it an enjoyable experience with some really nice songs here and there.
Fav: Midnight
The smooth, sample-heavy production from Conductor Williams fused with the consistent lyricism from Boldy James always makes something worth listening to. Some parts of this album I don’t see myself returning to, but some songs were magical.
