Decent album. Not sure it deserved to win AOTY, but it was worth it for the Twitter meltdowns alone

Just listened to the whole thing. Gun to my head, I couldn't tell you what any of these songs sound like.

this album is so funny because it has the biggest indie hit of the decade and then for the other 11 tracks I’m convinced Gotye picked the genre for each out of a hat

This album is obviously well-made and Sampha is a good vocalist, but idk I’m not feeling it as much as these high-rated reviews.
The thing with this type of RnB is that all the tracks sound a bit same-y production-wise and there’s not really any stand-out songs on the album so it gets a bit boring. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I wouldn’t have this on for anything other than background noise while revising.

Have to applaud Drake’s ability to come out with consistently boring albums and still remain a streaming juggernaut. He's gamed the system fr.
