Turnover - Down on Earth

Yeah, it’s definitely better than the “bongo drum” album they dropped before this. There are some genuinely cool ideas and riffs throughout, and you can hear the band refining what they’ve been experimenting with over the last few records. That said, I still can’t fully connect with it emotionally.

Eddy Current Suppression Ring - In Light of Recent Events

Best $10 I have spent. Eddy's have dropped another surprise album first in 7 years! The pop up shows they have been doing the last year gave off something new was coming. The wait has paid off! Stand out song currently is Swimming Hole.

WIRED provides that 90's/00's Alternative Rock itch I always crave. It's not Colourmeinkindness or I Wish I Could Stay Here but it still holds its own, and I think it's a lot better than Promise Everything and Beside Myself. Stand out tracks are WIRED, Sever and Pick Up the Pieces.

Radium Dolls - Wound Up

The Brisbane band returns with another raw Australian rock album that has the song writing and themes of Paul Kelly with the in your face tenacity of Amyl and the Sniffers. The record stays honest and doesn't fall too much into stereotypical Australiana style similar to The Chats. But tastefully can be compared in that bracket. Will be a stand out Australian record for the year for me. Hopefully they get the attention they deserve in the Australian community.

Joyce Manor - I Used to Go to This Bar

Far from their first LP which was incredible. Has three good tracks and lot of non standouts.
