Listening to this album for the first time in a while reminded me how much i love it. This really is one of the best albums ever made, sonically every second is gorgeous and is lyrically incredible, especially if you compare it to mirror to mirror, such an incredible album.
The King of Limbs carries the same issue i have with Amnesiac, that being that it just sounds wrong, instruments, vocals and production don't feel like they mesh how they should, personally, not a huge fan.
Everything about In Rainbows is breathtaking, gorgeous instrumentation, incredible vocals and writing, there isn't a single dull moment across the entirety of this album, never fails to paint perfect images of what's coming through your ears, flat out beautiful project
It feels like Radiohead cover everything in Hail to the Thief, the album feels so accessible, like anybody could listen to this album and enjoy parts of it, yet it doesn't majorly shine like other Radiohead projects, although being great.
Kid A is atmospheric, calming and beautiful yet gut wrenching and deeply rooted in darkness. Radiohead really knew what they were doing here, and they did it incredibly, in it's time it challenged so much about music and transformed the art as a whole, hard to believe that the same people that made this made Pablo Honey
So ahead of it's time, frankly just beautiful in all layers of music, incredible.
Pablo Honey is a great fit for 'Painfully Mediocre'. It doesn't do anything great, doesn't do anything awfully, it's just average and boring, not much more i can say.
While Worlds lacks in quality compared to its successive albums it still has some great tracks, Divinity, Sad Machine, Sea of Voices and Goodbye To a World are great songs, yet are outweighed by the low parts of the album as i feel like the highs can't keep up with lows across it.
After the sad and beautiful experience of Nurture, Porter brings the grooving and moving with Smile while still keeping his impactful writing. This album is so much fun yet it's still caring and sincere like Porter does best.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, Nurture carries a beautiful soundscape across it's length along with Porter's incredible writing. Nurture was one of the albums that really kicked me into gear with loving music and it never gets old, such an incredible feat of music
Folklore showcases just how much talent Taylor has. The album is so sad and dreamy and Taylor's vocals are gorgeous throughout. A great album from start to finish, i wish she had more stuff that could compare to how good this album is for me, because Folklore is a beautiful and magical album.
Devon Again shows some real potential with this EP. The mixing is amazing and devons voice really shines with some of these synth and bass lines, cherry cola and overagain are great songs and i'm really interested to see what else she can make in the future
Man i love this EP. Music Baby and Dream Sequence are some of my favourite songs Jane has ever made. The sound in ♡ is exactly what im hoping Jane pursues in the future because it is incredible when she does it and this EP showcases that perfectly.
I was pleasantly surprised after listening to the now and never. Seeing this album plastered all over TikTok didn't have my expectations super high but i caved and listened to it and was caught off guard, definitely better than i expected and i see why TikTok loves this album, the chops and sampling throughout the instrumental sound is great on the ears, but i also feel like parts of this album leave a bit to be desired.
What a way to show off you are still that same band after Isaac Wood's departure. Bush Hall is a gorgeous album, experimenting with what they will do for the future and doing a good job of it too. While it does fall short in some places i think it can be chalked up to the band still finding their direction, yet this doesn't take away from the album still being great. Up Song, Laughing Song and Turbines/Pigs are incredible songs and there isn't a bad song on the album, some just ... read more
Forever Howlong is such a perfect answer to losing a lead vocalist. They keep their instrumental prowess the band has consistently shown over the years while transforming their sound into a gorgeous folk soundscape. I'm glad that May Kershaw, Tyler Hyde and Georgia Ellery get to show off the great singers they are with their beautiful voices over the whole album. The great lyricism from previous albums sticks too, with songs like Two Horses and For the Cold Country showcasing everything ... read more
Ghostholding gets better and better with each listen, i am such a huge fan of Jane when they use this sound. Ghostholding is consistently good throughout with the exception of a couple songs, yet i think the best songs on the album outweigh the lackluster ones, because wow most of these songs are incredible with Jane's vocal and lyrical talent, not to even mention how good the album is instrumentally too.
