"Better" does not mean good. Comparing this to the previous Six Feet Under album is like comparing today's dump to yesterday's dump. Yes, the instrumentation has a lot more going on (with some exceptions) and Chris Barnes sounds... well, better. The album is still god awful, like anything else Six Feet Under's put out recently. Sometimes, I like to give the worst albums out of a band's discography a try, even if I hadn't really heard most of their stuff beforehand. Van Halen III was the record that got me listening to Van Halen more, and is currently my favorite of theirs. This album is not alike that case at all.
