Every song was good but most of the time I'd rather listen to the inspirations that they wear so clearly on their sleeves.

Freddie Hubbard - Red Clay

Title track was pretty cool. Rest was just aight

Yes - Close to the Edge

Instantly infectious and always engaging. I haven't been so excited listening to something in years. Equally extremely off it's time and decades before it.

slayr - Half Blood

Better than expected

feeble little horse - bitknot

More glitchy than I expected

Sparks - Kimono My House

I thought the vocals would get to me but I actually enjoyed them quite a bit by the end

Taste - Taste

Killer solos, really love the tone. Vocals on Leaving Blues sounds exactly like Jack White to me.

The Isley Brothers - 3 + 3
77

One of my favorite guitar solos

The Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World

Who Loves You Better was my favorite

Neil Young - American Stars 'n Bars
90

Homegrown might honestly be my favorite on this album

Thundercat - Distracted
60

All blends together but the sounds are nice

Fcukers - Ö

A few standouts the rest were just pretty solid

Neil Young - Mirror Ball
65

It's alright, a little bland

Karate - Pockets
77

Jazzy at some points, feels like post-hardcore without the bite (non-derogatory )

Jimmy Carter & The Dallas County Green - Summer Brings the Sunshine
75

The album cover looks like every record ever at the goodwill. Surprised by how good this was.

Circuit Rider - Circuit Rider

This shit would have popped off as a niche self produced debut if AOTY existed in the 70s. Pretty crazy moments on here. Sloppy at times but it only adds to the vibes.

LΓ΄ Borges - Lô Borges
90

Every song is short and sweet. The closing track sounds like something Alex G would make today. Great great great vibes.

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer
90

The transition between iPod and Computer make me orgasm

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition)

The mix is soooo much cleaner. Everything feels more immediate. Any my god did Gerard give the performance of a fucking lifetime during the BBC session. Some of his vocal delivery in those live tracks totally eclipse the studio recording.

"is to recognize, that from your point of view, the output of these groups is far removed from their parent genre. And what are genres if not descriptions that a large group of people come to understand in the same way. 91 people liked this orignal comment so 91 people understand the term post rap in a way that describes this piece of music. Genres, and all words for that matter, are a creation of a group of people attempting common communication. If enough people agree it exists no ammount of argumentation can disqualify it. And if I could strike skidi rizz kai cenat ohio from the english language, god knows I would but too many people agree that they are real words so they become real. For better or worse."

"I'm confused by a lot of this argumentation. If post-rap doesn't exist than post-rock shouldn't either. The point of throwing "post-" in front of a genre is to signifify a complete aesthetic shift from the core of a genre while still maintaining it's central ethos. We can say clipping, JPEGMAFIA, and Danny Brown are experimental rappers because they play with aesthetics and push the boundaries of rap. Judging By Storm's newest output, they are not interested in pushing boundaries, they ignore the boundaries all together. I guess all of this is to say, you can call a Goodspeed You! Black Emperor album experimental rock and that'd be fine. You can call a single by By Storm Experimental Rap and that's fine. But to describe either as "post-""
