I liked watching the numbers go up on the CD tracklist when I was waiting for the bonus tracks
First listen was in middle school and I had to listen to it like 4 times before I could figure out Trent Reznors voice then I fucking steamrolled through that catalog
Most of my reviews about King Gizzard mention my dad. He really does Love him some King Gizzard. So do I. I think it's one of the only bands we share the same amount of Love for. Because of that, the memories I have around their songs and the songs themselves are special to me. When my dad and I listened to Iron Lung for the first time, we both absolutely geeked out. For whatever reason, this album always gets played when I go camping
Every time Open Water plays, I laugh because there was a solid 3 months where anytime I went to talk to my dad this song would be playing and he was always SO into it.
As a very young kid, I always thought an infinitely looping album would be sick asf. I was not wrong. Every second is badass.

And what are genres if not descriptions that a large group of people come to understand in the same way. 91 people liked this orignal comment so 91 people understand the term post rap in a way that describes this piece of music. Genres, and all words for that matter, are a creation of a group of people attempting common communication. If enough people agree it exists no ammount of argumentation can disqualify it. "I'm confused by a lot of this argumentation. If post-rap doesn't exist than post-rock shouldn't either. The point of throwing "post-" in front of a genre is to signifify a complete aesthetic shift from the core of a genre while still maintaining it's central ethos.
We can say clipping, JPEGMAFIA, and Danny Brown are experimental rappers because they play with aesthetics and push the boundaries of rap. Judging By Storm's newest output, they are not interested in pushing boundaries, they ignore the boundaries all together.
I guess all of this is to say, you can call a Goodspeed You! Black Emperor album experimental rock and that'd be fine. You can call a single by By Storm Experimental Rap and that's fine. But to describe either as "post-""
