The Life Of Pablo is definitely one of Kanye's most.. I don't know. The track list is stacked, but also has some REALLY REALLY REALLY low lows (looking at YOU Freestyle 4). But yeah you really can't ignore the fact that we got such amazing features, and a really fun listen.
Re-Review TWO: It's a solid album, with a lot of good songs; but it fails to keep the same consistency as his other projects. I like it still, and I think pt. 2/freestyle 4 are a bit overhated, but yeah ... read more
This album hits a bit close for me. From songs like Father Time, United in Grief, and Crown. Kendrick has made a masterpiece here. One of the most concise, beautifully emotional albums I ever heard.
A bit overrated, it's not the best album ever made. But holy shit, he has made one hell of an album. The three album run from GKMC - DAMN (not counting UU) will go down as classics, I guarantee it.
Really good album. No Make-Up is INSANELY overhated, really good.
Best song was probably rigamortis, and the worst is Tammy's Song. Don't come at me for that. I think this album really helped his trajectory, since it's the weakest of his first three (Not counting OD)
Kendrick Lamar has truly outdone himself here. This album is AMAZING. Every song tells an individual story, tying into a larger one that also has a deeper backwards meaning. Zero skips, nothing wrong with this album. So many bangers.
Really... Okay I'll admit that some of the songs are BANGERS. It's got good production too, but I feel that either there is no replayability, or I've replayed it too much cause I don't see myself coming back to most of these. Don't ever glaze this album fucking ever again.
Re-Review 2: An inconsistent mess with bad rapping on multiple tracks with overrated production and poor writing. Also has a song glazing Jay-Z and a song about taking advantage of drunk ... read more
Yes I gave this the same score as college dropout. I do think college dropout has slightly more replayability though, so it would be above late registration.
Re-Review: Wow this album was really good. A lot more consistent than TCD, with no skips and amazing production. Only song that could be better is Celebration
Favorite: Late/Drive Slow/Roses
Least Favorite: Celebration
This is one amazing fucking album. Although Compton is bringing it down a bit. The storytelling is absolutely great and the production is interstellar. PLEASE listen to this if you haven't already.
Re-Review: One of the greatest rap albums I have heard. Great storytelling, lyricism, and production. It's definitely a vibe.
Best: Real/Sherane/Good kid
Worst: Compton
90 -> 96
One of Kanye's best albums, only dragged down by School spirit and BIBO. I enjoyed listening to this a lot, but it does drag on quite a while (21 tracks, wow!)
Re-Review: why did I sound like such a neek in the original review
anyways, it's pretty good but also pretty overrated. School Spirit is definitely a dud and Last Call drags on way too long too, even if it IS a story.
Favorite: The New Workout Plan
Least Favorite: School Spirit
85 -> 83
An inconsistent album with a baby voice, that would be amazing if not for the bloat of track 8-15 excluding Yah Mean and Flex. A fun listen, but nonetheless not that good
Favorite: New Choppa
Least Favorite: Had 2
Extremely overhated, title track is good and hey now isn't unbearable. the hate is insane.
Re-Review: This album slightly grew on me. Only two tracks I'd skip and they're not even that bad still. It's a good homage to the west coast, and a great album for kendrick. My only issue is that it feels more like a mixtape, but that's not really a big deal to me.
Favorite: MATG/Gloria
Least Favorite: TV Off
80 -> 84
Wow. Can't believe I'm saying this, but this is better than KSG. One of his worst projects but to be honest, some of the songs are pretty amazing. High highs and extremely low lows hold this album back from being better.
Re-Review: some tracks grew on me, some got even worse than before. It's inconsistent and definitely not good, but it's meh. got some good songs and even some peak like BEG FORGIVENESS.
50 -> 57
An album that I don't think offers much replayability for 4/7 of the songs, but quality is definitely there. Track 1, 6 and the last one are extremely better than the other songs. Really brings up the total score.
This is insanely overrated. The mixing is ass on some tracks, and while 4th Dimension and Reborn are great, reborn drags on too long. Cudi Montage should not have been released. FUCK THIS ALBUM
upon relisten of cudi montage, it's like a 40 but still this album is super mid and overrated
Re-Review: okay so was i on HARD DRUGS when listening the first time??? this was quality. still nowhere near his best tho
Favorite: Title Track
Least Favorite: Fire
This album is great, using autotune as a tool and introducing it into the mainstream rap scene; without this album, we would be listening to completely different music today. Not only that, but no skips and amazing songs. Love this album.
Re-Review THREE: So I expected this to go down a little but honestly it's just as good. I just don't feel like I can give it a perfect score with SYIMN.
Favorite: Street Lights/Love Lockdown
Least Favorite: SYIMN
90 -> 98 -> 100 -> 99
Assuming this is the 10 minute version, there are zero issues. Hell yeah
This is one of many tracks that SHOULD have been on MBDTF. This is an amazing track and fits most places in the album; personally if I made a tracklist with it, it would come after Power. Fuck you kanye for not giving us the official release on spotify.
If I could say one word about this album, it'd be: overrated. Quit glazing this like its the second coming of christ. It ain't.
Re-Review: Wow, okay; I wasn't expecting the score to go UP. I really enjoyed every song quite a lot, and the only reason blame game is so low is the skit. It's a great album, even if people do act like its the best thing ever. Stellar production with iconic verses and entire songs.
Favorite: Lost In The World
Least Favorite: Blame Game
