In the future, Abel will be recognised as a staple in modern pop music. Mainly for his nice voice and great songwriting, as well as genre-blending pretty well. This album is a pure example.
My opinion kinda goes up and down depending on my mood when it comes to this listen. It is complicated. Sometimes I could be having a nice time, minding my business, listening to ILoveUIHateU, and sometimes this entire thing hurts my ears.
Honestly, I like this one more than Revengeseekerz, so if EPs were allowed to be in my top 10, this one would take its spot. It is just so filled with passive-aggression that it is always more fun returning to it.
I tried so freaking hard to like this album as much as the next guy, but for some reason, it just doesn't stick. I liked a few songs off the album, but overall, it just sounds like average art rock. Except for Cameron Winter, his solo work is better than Geese's.
A reason for this not being in my top 10 of last year is that, sure, it is a bit revolutionary in mainstream hip-hop, but I don't seem to come back to it often.
