what is there not to say about this album. firstly postmortem is my favourite slayer song of all time and the transition from that song into raining blood is so good. the production is at its best, they're playing as fast as they can to the point that the album goes for 28 minuets, every song is a fucking banger and there is no room for boredom in this album AT ALL. the songs being short makes the album feel like its meant to be listened to from start to finish and only start to finish. ... read more
thinking of this album more and more makes me realise that this may be a perfect album but... i ain't superstitious, is not perfect. it doesn't bring the album down or make it worse as its not a bad song but also not a really good cover. its a good song that prepares you for the next which has to be in the top 5 megadeth songs ever because of its writing. my last words is the best song on the album in my opinion as its got such amazing writing and everyone performs so well. everyone ... read more
i really don't mind this album at all its just... why so slow on some songs. just remember that metallica made thrash metal and there were albums like reign in blood, peace sells, darkness descends, and the ultra-violent a year later, and master of puppets was definitely not an influence to the overall bpm speed or dark sound anymore and were kind of becoming a bit commercial with songs like welcome home being really slow and kind of lack lustre in my opinion. even master of puppets is ... read more
if there is any album that i would say is perfect i would always say spreading the disease by anthrax. from start to finish the entire album is a banger with perfect songs with a perfect runtime. all the songs go for a perfect amount of time and never gets boring and always has a special sound to them. like armed and dangerous being slow at the start and then getting fast at the end. and the enemy sounding like a song that iron maiden would make. its like hell awaits where i cant think of what ... read more
this is probably the best debut album from the big 4 as there is not a single boring or bad part in this album but there are some things that do bring the album down like the inclusion of these boots being a cover and also having lyrics changed but it is overall not that bad but pretty poor compared to every other song. i do also prefer the four horsemen over the mechanix even though i used to think the opposite a while ago as the mechanix is shorter in length. the length of the album also does ... read more
