Well played music, but nothing innovative, they feel stuck in the 70's.
I also didn't like the vocalist that much.
The LP has some AMAZING tracks, but the others are mediocre. The album falls off towards the end. The best tracks, however, are some of the best music I've heard in a long time.
Nice sounding indie album. However, it's nothing innovative. I still enjoy listening to it for what it is. The vocals are very nice.
Highlights: Can I Leave Me Too, Dandelion, Make Out, So It Must Be True.
This is one of my favorite albums. The lo-fi beats Mavi raps over are so pleasing to my ear and the whole record is just a breeze. Mavi's lyrics are more poetry than rap, in a sense that you have to read them to even begin to understand what they mean, which really adds an additional layer to the music. No mater how many times I listen to it, it's still food for thought and a source of peace for me.
This is a must listen to album. The instrumentation is amazing, Thom Yorke brings his best vocals, and the whole record is well produced. There are no skippable tracks at all.
