The unabashedly RAWSHIT on display here is refreshing juxtaposed with their polished contemporaries — said rawness thankfully doesn't hurt its consistency, though. Simultaneously shit you can bump and ruminate on — in a word, dope.
First third is a bit too muted for my tastes — I acknowledge it's not my thing — but after that, Baduizm comes into its own.
The sound is done justice; however, the contradictory juxtaposition between Joey's capitalism and his posturing as a conscious emcee is an annoyingly severe pain point.
