This is Mac at his darkest point in his life. When this mixtape came out Mac was convinced that he wasn’t going to be around much longer. This mixtape is incredible. Not only is this the best mixtape ever, it’s one of the best project ever. The production is amazing and the sampling is mind blowing. Often the beats sounds very dusty are almost bare bones, with a lot of organs driven melodies, which allows Mac to lay all of this ideas down.The lyrics are incredibly dark, reflecting his mindset at the time. Sometimes he seems like he’s just being funny but he’s really telling the truth. It’s really haunting, I’ve never heard anyone be this honest. There’s no misses on this thing. This mixtape is raw, psychedelic, profound, druggy, mind numbing, unforgettable, and perfect.
