Really fun album with some crazy fucking good beats. The last three songs especially have just beautiful beats imo, but the entire album just slaps. Fun album, beautiful album, going to bust all over my monitor. It really just scratches that itch.
Made on tour btw
Definitely one of my favorite albums in music and concept. It isnt perfect but ngl I dont care its just such a unique feeling project.
Yeah I cant like Chromakopia is peak and def AOTY
I did not expect to get such a vulnerable album from Tyler but I am definitely not complaining. Every song was just phenomenal, and it was a fucking great time bouncing between something hype like Thought I Was Dead and then immediately getting very emotional and introspective and then jumping back into some silly shit. I also really like that Chromakopia isn't afraid of turning away some people for the sake of broader popularity but at ... read more
It's a little wonky here and there but overall I think it's a good record. IMO, it's got some high highs and some questionable lows but not every album needs to be the new AOTY. It's fun, and that's all I care about.
Ceres & Calypso is one of the best albums that I've come across in a while and is IMO pretty underrated. I've only ever talked to one guy who heard of it. Listening to it feels like being transported into a misty painted forest and I'm here for it. It's very dense in sound but not so much as to muddy the whole LP and everything comes through very clearly.
Anyways super good album makes me not feel real very cool!
It's a pretty common take so nothing groundbreaking here but Madvillainy is an absolute banger and it's just peak. Of course, there are other MF DOOM and Madlib projects that I personally like more, whether that's because of emotions linked to that project or preference it doesn't matter. Madvillainy is just objectively one of the best collaboration albums from some of the best to do it.
It's listed as a must hear album for a reason.
One of the chillest albums I have ever listened to. I can't help but chillax whenever I listen to it. I'm chilling all over!!!
First Light is so atmospheric and skillful can't help but love it. It's amplified tenfold if you put yourself in a chill ass spot while listening to it. I have vivid memories of listening to it while driving through (UNNAMED CITY SO I DON'T DOX MYSELF) at dusk and just being fully immersed it was beautiful.
Is it the best thing since sliced bread? No, but it's still ... read more
Really impressive album for a 16 year old to crank out in his bedroom. His 2021 album Bowling is more refined and flows better, and is just, well, better, but I would be lying if I said I didn't always come back to Care. It's rough around the edges but I feel like that gives it a lot of charm, but who knows maybe I just like shit music and I'm coping.
When I start thinking about it too hard I get a little depressed but hey it's all good, at least the beat is fun!
Sexy ass indie record that I have listened to on and off for the past couple of years and I have never once been disappointed or skipped a song. Always a joy when I snap out of my dementia and remember what music I listen to!
Super chill and refined album from Mac, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you don't fuck with Mac I don't fuck with you!!!
Operation: Doomsday is a certified classic at this point. I wouldn't say its DOOM's most consistent and concise album but that isn't to say it isn't a absolutely great album. It really set the standard for his work and is a great intro to his discography, both in quality and style.
Also fuck all yall that try and gatekeep cause u heard of DOOM like 2 weeks before he died like bro grow up.
One of the most groundbreaking and influential albums of all time, AND it's their breakout album. Truly one of the greatest albums of all time. If you do not give it at least one listen you are making a terrible mistake.
Am I a meat rider, yes.
Do I care, no.
As a diehard Gorrilaz fan, it's crazy how much Plastic Beach sticks out to me as THE Gorrilaz album. I truly think that Plastic Beach is peak and nothing you can say will change that. It gives me a feeling that no other album can or ever will. I'm not saying they peaked but ill be damned if I don't die on this melancholy hill (hahaha see what I did there? God I'm so funny).
Also Some Kind of Nature slept on banger song.
Jaw-dropping nut-busting music as usual from the Radio guys or whatever they are called!
In all seriousness though, OK Computer is another one of those albums where I don't really need to say much, because really what can I say that hasn't been said already? It's a masterpiece, as one has come to expect from Radiohead. I could put this exact review under most of their music and practically nobody would bat an eye.
Something something quinvigintuple entendre something something peak music something something rap gospel
This is the one I break out when I'm feeling extra autistic.
It's catchy and free-spirited and I just love it. It's nerd shit, and I'm a nerd.
How could I not like this album though Neil is a legend.
I'm going to be upfront this one is going to be biased as shit. I have a super soft spot for this album because I listened to it a lot growing up and TMBG was one of my childhood bands.
Are there some weaker songs? Yes.
Are there some that I skip? Yes.
Is Flood one of my favorite albums of all time? Yes.
I'm keeping the rating at 90 to maintain some semblance of objectivity but just know I love this album more than you will ever know.
Made me shit and piss myself.
Really is just a beautiful album that brought me to tears, which to me is a hallmark of an amazing album. If an album can make you feel such strong emotions just from the instrumentals alone then it really is just something special. If you know you know I guess.
I think this album might be the peak of Tyler in terms of making me feel raw emotion, but I don't doubt that he will release an album that is overall better, as he seems to be one of those artists who ... read more
