album every day (FINALE)
And with the end of 2025, this challenge comes to an end as well. I finished one of my mom and uncles' favorite shows earlier, Cowboy Bebop, and coincidentally, this project is one of their favorites as well. I feel like this album kind of incapsulates a large part of this year for me. Somewhat bizarre, haunting, with moments of uncertainty, but also of lots of beauty. Almost the perfect last album for the year, and the project has marked an era of my life in a ... read more
i feel like this is the embodiment of nostalgia. this album feels so at-home, at some times more comforting than others, but it always holds this sort of warm familiarity. there wasn't a single moment that didn't feel interesting or intriguing, and it used its runtime perfectly for what it tries to achieve. really wonderful project, might be better than wetdream.
best: hell for a basement, seraphim, requiem, star sick, between months, discotheque of my own misery
i feel like some part of this is missing for me? i think this album is very very good, but i can't really give it a higher score since i don't feel that i connected with it as much as i wanted to/should have. lana has incredible vocals, and all the production and instrumentals were great. i also think that the album didn't overstay it's welcome, even in its >1hr runtime. i will definitely come back to this, great album, just didn't fully click with me.

one of her most beautifully tranquil projects. the whole thing is just riddled with peace, and even in the moments that hold tension, it's always apparent there will be light at the end of the tunnel. guitar and vocals are incredible as always, this was a really wonderful album.
best: 海辺の葬列, みなしごの雨, 誰かの世界
very good i liked it, it was pretty fun to listen to, the lyrics were clever and never without depravity. i mainly listened to this album because i found "imposter syndrome" from some edits, and i've been playing it quite a bit. really great, i would recommend!
best: imposter sydrome, sin triangle, new recording 180 (new year's eve) persephone, where the sidewalk ends
this was really good. not a single uninteresting moment, everything is masterfully crafted, from each vocal line, to every chord. it was just amazing. jitensha is one of the best songs i've heard recently. i think that the album may fall off a little bit in the middle, but it was so consistent it barely made a difference. listen to this.
best: jitensha, あなたが生まれた日に, nameless, weather lore, sunday driver, metro, and the rest of the project
