cool idea doing half bangers, half lowkey songs on two sides of a double album, but in practice it really kneecaps that albums flow. i much prefer the second half. the bangers mostly blend together, the exception being mazza, which kicks ass. the sadder cuts are what do it for me tho. i love push and nhs. but i think my biggest complaint is that i just don't really love the direction slowthai is taking. i feel like he sounded best on songs like Ladies and T N Biscuits. a more straightforward ... read more
i was worried about hearing BC,NR's debut and realizing that they weren't nearly as good as i hyped them up to be. that's always a risk when you connect with a band's music so much despite them only having a couple tracks out. i'm very happy to see that my concern wasn't necessary because this shit is craaazy. i was also worried about it only being 6 tracks, but it turns out that 6 is plenty and any more might have felt like they were overdoing it considering the track lengths. i'm just glad i ... read more

i wish i could be as excited about it as everyone else but i just can't. it doesn't really have any business being the 3rd MOTM installment, its so sonically different from the first two and so far removed from them. the new trap beats don't do cudi's voice many favors in my opinion. a lot of it kinda feels like background noise. eh idk
