i thought the first three tracks were excellent. they were like quintessential dan deacon. the arp piece was alright, the progession felt kinda stifled halfway through. and the tracks that followed that just didn't do anything for me really. kind of a let down imo
i've BEEN saying it. for YEARS. she can't make bad music. literally she just dumps her leftovers and its leagues better than what a lot of other pop artists are putting out. she's just too fucking good, and she's so good at working with people that she does really great work with
i've liked beach bunny for good few years now, and its nice to hear their debut album is pretty good. they've stuck with the same exact sound they've had since they first formed, which is nice. lili puts some strong songs down here. even though it's pretty bare for a full length LP and the recording leaves a good bit to be desired, its a good album with plenty of catchy power pop tracks, even if it sometimes feels like you're listening to the same song over and over.
mixed bag! some moments are very good, some are pretty boring for a strokes album. but as a big strokes fan, this does seriously scratch an itch. a couple of songs (At the Door, The Adults are Talking) are some of the best they've done since Room on Fire, which is crazy
