Boards of Canada’s latest batch of mystical beeps and bops lands them in safe, explored territory while being entertaining nonetheless.
The mixing and soundscapes and vocals presented here are, of course, impeccable, but man I could hardly get into this one. I’ve done two complete listens, and I just don’t find this album very musically innovative, in the sense of melodic and rhythmic structuring.
