Don's best album when it comes to production, just a shame he doesn't want to put any effort into his vocals. the album starts off very strong with some heavy hitters but then Don kind of drifts off like a child with adhd.

bandit
kendrick comes off the back of a generational rap beef win and casually drops one of the albums of the year on a random wednesday night, my goat. this album has so many bangers on and kendrick calls out the industry for its corruption while also praising himself.

reincarnated
kendrick comes back after a 5 year break from music with some family orientated bangers, the album does slightly suffer from track inflation but is made up for by a huge start and finish to the album.

when i saw the features on this album, i was really hyped. but i feel massively let down by how basic this is. the deluxe version is better than the original release, but the album just has too many tracks on it which makes for a very boring and souless listen. DT fails to meet the mark yet again with love sick.

no pole
production and vocals are decent, but too many unneccessary and filler tracks in here for me.
my second favourite kendrick album after gkmc and for good reason. one of the best produced albums in all of hip-hop imo, with amazing rapping and storytelling from kendrick as usual.
kendrick's leftovers from to pimp a butterfly make for a fun and engaging listen, there's definitely some good tracks on this.
the number one album of all time in a lot of people's eyes. personally i don't see it as that, but i do see an incredible effort made by kendrick lamar to address the racial differences and injustice against the african american community. there's no denying the influence this album has had not just on hip-hop but in music as a whole.
kendrick's conscious style of rapping coupled with improved production and great features make for a fun listening experience. granted, there are some skips here and there and the album does lack consistency in some places, but k dot's first full length album is a great starting point for his career.
kendrick's first LP creates for an interesting and enjoyable listen with some solid rapping performances, my only issue is the production is a little weak but that would of course improve over time.
kanye fails to meet the mark big time with V2. while there are some bright spots within the album and some decent tracks, the autotune mixed in with AI vocals can be painful to listen to at times. i feel like this album could've definitely been a lot better if kanye put more effort into it like we seen on vultures and donda.
i think this album is overhated by the community, granted it's far from kanye's best but what came to follow was a lot worse. the production is very strong on a lot of songs, just wish the rapping was a bit better.
kanye and cudi's collab mixtape makes for a really enjoyable listen, granted there are some songs i wasn't to keen on but is made up for with other great tracks and samples.
my favourite kendrick lamar album and one of my favourite albums of all time. incredible storytelling filled with insane lyrics and production. kendrick showing how hungry he is to be successful and make it out the hood, managing to balance the album showing both his hardcore rapping side and storytelling side and doing so flawlessly, creating an absolute masterpiece full of enjoyable listens from start to finish.
obviously not worthy of an official rating, but some very good ideas and some good artists combining to create a good compilation album.
kanye's most influential album and one of the most influential rap albums of all time. an album filled with great songs with thumping 808s and the right amount of autotune. album is severly underrated.

paranoid
heaven or hell has a lot of bright spots scattered throughout, with good production and vocals from don. however, it does show a few inconsistences. it is overall a positive listening experience.
nothing much to shout about. songs are very repetitive, production is oversaturated and the autotune is blaring.
definitely not Baby's worst but not his best either. the lyrics and production on this one are much better than what we've seen from him in the past. it's just a shame the tracklist runs for over and hour and is filled with filler tracks throughout.
