Kid sees ghost is an album that will never truly age, to this day it sounds futuristic despite being nearly a decade old. The psychedelic feel from this album is unmatched and one of a kind, you can hear the emotion and understanding between Kanye and cudi during this period. Many call this album overrated, but I personally resonate with Kids See Ghosts a lot.
The song gets 10 additional points for being a perfect wc song, truly amazing how much speed has improved
It’s definitely not good but like it’s surprisingly not horrible . I actually see the potential but this isn’t anything praisable
Cole goes towards almost a Donda route with this project, but I believe he nailed his final act as a rapper better than most do. The Fall Off has everything from introspective lyrics, to catchy beats that differ from one another. The Fall Off is an album fans of hiphop and appreciate, not just j Cole fans. There are still some issues that hold the album back, a lot of the songs drag on for to long, some songs takes a while to actually start picking steam, and there are a lot of tracks that I ... read more
It wasn’t as bad as I once thought it was, but that in no way means I’m justifying how mediocre this project was
I wish x went with this style of music rather to what he later branched out to. How unfortunate, at 16 he writes an extremely introspective and meaningful song just for him to become an emo mumble rapper who tarnished there legacy with mediocracy.
Definitely a diamond in the rough. I will say tho that the production is the star, but x has a solid flow here and his lyrics aren’t as bad as they usually are. The instrumental is heavinley however and is lowered by x
Live love asap, the pinnacle of cloud rap. Theres multiple reasons as to why so many people adore his debut mixtape, one of the biggest reasons is due the ethereal production. I kid you not the production feels like that one scene in breaking bad where Jesse starts floating after taking needles, it makes you feel like your in a whole nother planet if you know what I mean. Rockys rapping on here is also special, the way he blends luxury with gang rap. One moment he’s rapping bout Rick ... read more
One of Travis’s most popular and definitive projects of al time. Astroworld is a one of a kind album of trap, changing up the genre in a whole new way. The way this album can make anyone start vibing is a feeling you get from a select few albums. The productions one of the best in his catalog, and he delivers heartfelt performances in his songs, actually writing about his experiences.
Bittsm feels much less polished compared to its predecessor rodeo, however it still has its own charm that makes this album stick out to me. Most of the hate most likely comes from the fact that it isn’t comparable to rodeo, but refuting trans debut from here bittsm has many core values in it like interesting production, good features, the songs set the mood up well especially at night, and has some good hits like goosebumps and pick up the phone.
I used to really enjoy utopia, but I just can’t stand it anymore. I can acknowledge what trav was tryna do here and for a while I understood it. But over time, i realized how repetitive and unlistenable the songs truly are. Many songs have extremely minimalist yet experimental lyrics which I didn’t really enjoy to much. Now even though I have a lot of criticism for utopia, I also have a lot of praise for it. He displays an evolved level of production form him, utopia almost seemed ... read more
I’m finally getting into rating Rocky’s catalog. His debut album starts off very strong but quickly becomes weaker. Even though it gets worse, it’s not bad in any way, just a little weaker than the first half. Some of his highest highs are on here while some of his lowest lows are also on here.
Don’t be dumb, after a 6 year wait we FINALLY receive a new asap rocky album, and idk how to feel. On one hand, I enjoyed the production and I think rocky tried something new which for the most part succeeded, however the album does sure have its flaws. A lot of the songs feel boring and repetitive and some songs just feel weird. And example is robbery, now I’m not saying this because of the fact that it’s doechii, I’m saying this because I genuinely disliked the ... read more
