This project just isn’t it. It starts off shaky with all the rock inspired tracks. At track 7 it starts to get good and it stays good until track 10. Then it’s really hit or miss again. New marvel is great and other tracks like sunshine show Mos can make good music but this project just is all over the place. A lot of the time his rhyme schemes seem very simple and the songs just drag. Almost makes me think he forgot how to make songs. There are tunes within the songs that are nice ... read more
Even without Blackstar Mos Def stays ill.

This was also my first introduction to Ces and DCQ, both of which did a good job, Ces especially. Mos Def sounds ... read more
Just not quite the same.
This is the follow up album by Masta Ace and Marco Polo. There really isn’t much to say about this project except that it’s solid. The features are good, especially Blu, and the project thankfully doesn’t overstay its welcome. Overall not really that special and ... read more
