disappointing release from modest mouse unfortunately. since their brush with mainstream media in 2004, i think modest mouse has been on a sad spiral. we were dead was a great album but everything after that just feels like they're trying to make good news part 2. this album is as close as we're going to get.

i've been meaning to get into zappa for the longest time and i think this album has gotten me to want to listen to him more. this is an insane jazz album, and the drumming and guitar work is a testament to the era i think. just really good prog jazz. loved it

man. what an album. i'm not too deep into this kind of metal, just because i personally think they'll all sound samey. however, this album definitely sticks out. the drums are insane. i love blast beats and this album doesn't disappoint. the riffs are heavy and fast too. i can't really name any standout tracks admittedly. i enjoyed it.

yeah this album wasn't too good. the high pitched vocals were so annoying. everything was samey. i have not much to say about this album. it sounded really generic for the most part. i enjoy this genre! but this album was not good.

i love the aesthetics of goth music and this album is no different. lots of clunky, heavy riffs. and damn they are good. the lyrics are also really cool. enjoyable album that i definitely see myself coming back to!!

very beautiful album. has some great instrumentation!! i wished i had more to say. i reminded me of bands like supertramp from the 70's i liked it but not a lot stood out to me.

i enjoyed geese's discography up to this point. i heard heavy metal by cameron winter late last year and i really enjoyed it! the most obvious thing that everyone is going to say about this album is cameron's voice. it's deep, it's so weird but I LOVE IT. it's what made his solo album so compelling. hearing his wailing deep voice over these elegant old school instrumentals talking about how god is real (god IS real. he's actually real. not even kidding).
